Myles Panosh – a US Marine Corps veteran – was on a phone call when he spotted a “huge” UFO hovering over the Wisconsin section of Lake Michigan in the US.
But he was unable to capture the sighting on his iPhone, so asked neighbour and videographer Jeff Lavicka to help out.
The footage – taken by Jeff on March 24 – shows a huge orange object hovering in the sky close to the Point Beach Nuclear Plant in Two Creeks.
It appears to be surrounded by several multi-coloured lights which blink on and off.
There are no stars in the vicinity – which makes the sighting even more mysterious.
Speaking to NewsInsideOut.com, Myles claimed there have been several incidents over the years of people witnessing lights over the nuclear plant.
“This was not anything we have [on Earth],” he added.
“It was not a star, it was not a planet, it was not a meteor.
“It was definitely, by definition, an Unidentified Flying Object.”
Conspiracy site NewsInsideOut.com described the central light as a “wedge-shaped Star Destroyer-like spacecraft”.
They went on to describe the sighting as “what may be the biggest UFO story of 2019”.
Jon Kelly – who wrote the piece – uploaded the footage to YouTube where it has garnered more than 5,000 views in a matter of days.
“Great footage,” one wrote.
Another claimed they had witnessed a similar sight in the area some years ago.
But others were less convinced, with a third suggesting: “Helicopter, swamp gas and a planet.”
The area has supposedly been a hotspot for UFO sightings in recent years.
Eerie lights reportedly appeared along the shoreline of Lake Michigan in 1994.
